Pre Delivery Inspection Management

The Pre-delivery inspection (PDI) is the final check carried out on a vehicle before it is handed over to the client.

As part of the process, you would receive a certificate to guarantee that the inspection has been carried out and that there are no issues with the vehicle before you take delivery of it.

Exactly what's included in the PDI can vary from make to make and be tailor made to suit the client's particular requirements, but essentially it's a complete and thorough examination of every aspect of the vehicle - from the exterior panels to the interior, mechanical parts, fluids and electrics. A brief road test is also included, if there are any minor problems they will be there listed and a rectification process agreed with the supplier.

More major problems will be detailed and passed on to an appropriate specialist to be rectified prior to delivery.

What it all means is that, when you take delivery of your car, it should be problem-free and in perfect working order.
